The scene starts off where Haseo was at inside Paiful forest.This times he seems to battling a different monster,unlike the big huge one fro last time.He is blocking the monster's attacks,but the monster is pretty fast.He gets kneed by the monster and hits the back of a tree,quickly moving out the way of the monster's attack,he stops and shoots a glare at the monster.Back in town,Tabby is with Phyllo,she says its fustrating.Phyllo asks what she meant,she is referring to Haseo trying his best,but also that she cant do anything,and has no clue whats going on.Phyllo says the least she can do is ask Haseo,Tabby didnt know that Phyllo doesnt know.She explains herself,that you cant send short mails to someone who's in Painful Forest.Phyllo didnt know that,she adds on,the player can do it while inside,but cant do it from the outside.Phyllo just cant believe that,Tabby finds it strange too,and believes thats why everyone thinks this event isnt normal.Phyllo asks if she could contact Haseo from inside the forest.Tabby pauses for a moment,she says someone like her would only slow Haseo down if she went.She wants to go there and ask Haseo whats happening right now,and what she can do for him.However,Haseo wont like it at all.Phyllo understands and agrees that it is furstrating.Tabby mentions there are only 3 hours left.Phyllo comments it will be 3 long hours.

Back to Haseo,he is running from the monster,avoiding trying to get nailed by it.Making it to a Chaos Gate,he warps to another location inside the forest.He says he cant waste his time on the small fries,there is no time left and he has to go to the deepest part.Out of nowhere,another monster appears around him,Haseo's response to that,there is no end to them.He charges at the monster,and yells for it to get out of his way.He blocks his attack,but gets pushed away,allowing the monster to do a quick attack on him,which is considered the final blow in Haseo's case;his life just ran out.Falling back,his entire body has lost its color,he lies there with his back on top of a log,looking forward with a shocked expression.He says he must become stronger.Elsewhere Saburo is high up in the trees,saying the monster's movemetns are predictable,but if you get hit by them,you can easily die.She got separated with Taihaku,and wonders what she should do.Suddenly she gets a message from Pai,asking about the situation.Sabu wonders why she is getting a message from the outside.Pai says she is the one who wants to ask "why".She knows Sabu isnt with Haseo anymore.Sabu asks if she came all the way here just to ask her that.Pai asks how the situation is,Sabu quickly dodges an attack from one of the monsters below.She says either way,she cant follow his movements and thinking of quitting.Pai is shocked,and says dont be silly to Sabu.Sabu uses a metaphor,about how its meaningless to escape from the cold by locking yourself in a fridge? Pai just says to keep at a proper distance and continue observation.Sabu tells her she is having a hard time keeping her eye...but gets cut off.She thinks Pai left the forest already.

Meanwhile,Taihaku has made it further inside the forest,he comes across a weapon inside a stone.Grabbing a hold of it,he pulls the weapon out of the stone,he wonders if this is the end.The weapon beings to shine and swallows him up in a blinding light.Back to Tabby and Phyllo,Phyllo asks if she is there,Tabby raises her head and says she is,she was reading ahead on tomorrow's classes.Phyllo says there are 2 hours left,and that she doesnt have to stay here.Tabby asks about Phyllo,he says being here is what he always does.She has been wondering about this for a while,and asks him if he idly stares at the monitor before someone talks to him.Phyllo says he doesnt,he would read a book or would play with his dog.Tabby gets excited about the dog.Phyllo asks if she has heard of a Schnauzer.Tabby says she has,its the doggy with a beard.He says the dog just turned 12,in human years,he will be 63,and he's an old man just like him.Tabby says Phyllo doesnt look old,but realizes,he is always playing a game,why isnt his wife getting mad? He only has his dog and cat. Tabby understands,and asks if she asked something she shouldnt have asked.Phyllo says not to worry about it,Tabby decides to look on the BBS.

Back to Taihaku,it seems he is an unknown area,and very familiar scene which was first shown back in .hack//SIGN.The place where Harald,the creator of this game,with what was considered his A.I. self to be trapped here in this place,but only the chair remains...and its talking to Taihaku.He is asking Tai about his daughter being well.Tai says nothing,but the chair demands an answer.Tai speaks up,he apologizes to inform him,that he doesnt know about his daughter,but wishes for her well being.The chair is silent for a moment,and says he shall grant Tai that sword.Once again,Tai is swallowed in a flash of light,he is teleported outside of the entrance.Where other players are standing around,they probably think he is the only one who has made it out of there,Tai holds up his new weapon and looks at it.Still inside the forest are Saburo and Haseo,Sabu kills off a monster and looks back at Haseo.Asking if he quit,Haseos asks "who quit?".Sabu was going to say something,but says nevermind,she is going to quit instead.Haseo says its none of his business and his time is precious.If Sabu is going to quit,then she needs to get out of Haseo's away.Before he can walk on,Sabu offers him an item,its the Sonata of Recovery.She asks if he needs it,since she's quitting,she wont need it.Haseo wont thank her,she is fine with that,but in exchange...this gift has her member address on it,its like the advertisements on free servers.Haseo considers this,troublesome.Sabu says the monsters have strong special attacks,and should avoid combat if possible.Haseo says its none of her concern and runs off. Using yet antoher metaphor,Sabu describes Haseo like a drop of a water on a hot grill pan.Can he clear the event before he evaporates? In joy,Sabu says that metaphor was really good.

In town,Tabby is walking,and sees a player running.He is spreading the news that a player has cleared Painful Forest,Taihaku of Ikoro.Haseo is up against another monster,that is shooting attacks at him,he hides behind a tree,but some of the tree gets a hole burned into it.Haseo quotes the words "avoid combat?",and that its bull shit.Its the monsters who are hunting him down.He runs at the monster,and quickly avoids another attack from it,he keeps running past him.Sabu appears infront of the Chaos Gate outside of the entrance,Pai is surprised,and didnt think she would really quit,and says to go somewhere else.They go to their usual meeting place,Pai wants to Sabu to explain herself.Sabu asks who they are,Pai asks what she meant by that.She says Pai looks different and talks differently,but believes she is Ender. Pai wonders why this all of a sudden,Sabu says she is good at acting,and thought about which one of Ender and Pai reflects her true self.Sabu adds on,that Naobi is here somewhere with a different name too.Disbanding TaN,a guild of such magnitude,but they didnt lose their place in the world,and wonders if thats strange.Pai asks about Sabu's character,Sabu says its true, she then asks how Pai knew she wasnt with him,even though Haseo has quit,she remained inside the forest,and believes thats why Pai came inside the forest.Sabu thought Haseo had quit,but he is still in there.Pai asks her,why a person who couldnt even follow orders can be so pleased with herself.Sabu says for her to forget about that,she believes Pai looks suspicious. And dangerously,she quits.Pai says her selfishness is..but gets cut off by Sabu,ending it with the word "..unforgivable?".She understands that,and to do whatever they want.Sabu hopes they wont throw some snakes at her.Pai says she doesnt understand anything.Sabu states,if she doesnt understand then make her understand.Having a job that she cant accept in reality is all that she needs,and walks away.

Back in town,Phyllo asks about the name of Taihaku of Ikoro,he cant say he doesnt known him.Tabby heard it in town,and she confirmed it on the BBS,that person... Phyllo adds on,that he cleared it.She asks him what kind of person he is.Phyllo says the Ikoro is a group that values individual strength,it currently only has four members,Taihaku is on top.Tabby believes he must be really strong,and wonders if Haseo is alright.Phyllo says her name,and says this is fustration.There will be no outcome no matter how hard you try,and you'll encounter it everywhere.Trying your best and you'll definately get something only happens in fairy tales.Yet Haseo is still trying his best,while in the forest,by himself.And thats why they can only wait.Phyllo adds on,no matter the outcome,Haseo doesnt want to regret that he didnt do anything,thats why he is fighting in the forest by himself,dont be too anxious about the outcome.She will find out about it sooner or later.Believe in Haseo.He turns and says,he is going out for a while,and floats away.Back to Haseo,he is struggling as he walks forward,making it to the weapon in the stone.Haseo approaches the stone,and pulls out the twin blades in there.Haseo looks up,then yells out,about not messing with him,he didnt come here to get a weapon.With that said,he gets swallowed up in the light,just like Tai did.Yata and Pai are monitoring him,they just saw Haseo disappear.Yata checks around the other areas,but Haseo is not showing up anywhere.Yata says he disappeared,Pai says thats impossible.Yata is interested,the impossible has happened,this is The World.Haseo is inside the same room that Taihaku was in earlier.The chair asks him the same question that he addressed Taihaku with,about the well being of his daughter.Haseo doesnt follow,the chair wants an answer.Haseo says he doesnt know,and asks who he is.Haseo asks about his daugther,the chair finally speaks, he will not grant him that sword.Suddenly,a flash of black energy zaps Haseo.He screams in pain,and then the area around him is surrounded in black.Tabby appears at the chaos Gate infront of the entrance,and walks forward.

Meanwhile,Phyllo is talking to Taihaku.He says the fact that he was able to achieve that,was beyond his expectation.Tai asks who he is,it took him a while to realize he is the Phyllo from back then.Their relationship was restricted to the contract.He adds on,for a person who called a cave animal to come to talking to him about something thats unrelated to any mission,and is guessing there is someone in the forest you are worried about.Phyllo says he is correct,Tai wont force him to tell him,but wishes for his safe return.Phyllo just wants him to get beat up and quit that event,thats all he is thinking.Phyllo decides to take his leave,Tai says for him to wait,he says this is about the horror of that forest.Knowing that horror,he found what Phyllo said offensive.The person who is fighting alone in the forest,he... or she? Phyllo says,its a guy.Tai cant accept how Phyllo made it sound like his hard work was meaningless.Phyllo comments,what waits for him after he clears the forest is.. ..nothing but more fighting.Tai doesnt understand,but if thats the path he has chosen,no one has the right to interfere.Phyllo comments,a game is only a game,you can say the net is the same as the reality,but if you link the reality to a net game,Phyllo doesnt think it would feel right.Tai asks him if that is a problem.Phyllo says yes to that,its something he cant explain well.He remembers the encounter with Tri-Edge from a while back.Phyllo asks about the sword he has,and is it something that he found in the forest by accident?Tai doesnt like that question,and says nothing.Phyllo apologizes for disturbing him.

Tabby continues to stand there at the entrance,someone warps in from behind,its Seisaku.He asks to make her acquaintance and asks how she's doing.Tabby asks why he is here.Seisaku says she is really worried about Haseo,and figured she would be here.He asks if he is still in the forest,she wants to tell him "do your best" when he comes back,its all she can do and thought to wait here.Sei says Haseo is a happy man,Tabby doesnt follow,Sei adds on he has such a wonderful friend.Tabby wonders about that,since Haseo doesnt think of her as a friend,but rather thinks she is annoying.Sei asks why she is still cheering for him.She pauses for a moment,until she comes up with an answer,its something she can do,she kind of understands that now.Before she can go on,an announcement is heard.The area will soon be erased when the event is over.In the monitoring room,Yata asks Pai if Haseo has shown up yet,Pai says he is still in the game,but his location is unknown.Yata says its fine,they will find out as soon as the event is over.The announcer is heard again,repeating the same line,and that all users in the area please use the nearest platform to teleport to town.3 more minutes until deletion.Tabby says Haseo's name,Sei says for her to calm down.The announcer adds on,you can confirm the countdown clock for the area deletion in the sub window.The other players start to warp out,Sei suggests to do the same and it will be a little troublesome if the area is erased.She wont because Haseo is still inside.Sei says her name and tries to grab a hold of her,she keeps walking forward.The announcer repeats herself again.Sei says her name again,and if they stay here any longer.Tabby refuses,suddenly the area around them is starting to rot away.In a black flash of energy in the sky,Haseo comes falling down right next to them.Haseo is laying there in what is considered to be his 3rd form,breathing heavily he looks at Tabby who looks worried.Yata says to Pai,its unmistakeable,he is a "Factor Possessor".
