Remember this is a summary for Vol.1,Read at your own risk if you havent played the game or Dont want to be spoiled.

When Haseo returns to the game after being Data Drained by Tri-Edge,he realizes his character has been shot down to level one.Not only that...his equipment,items,have been erased.If that wasnt worse,his own computer and the game itself has been reformatted,his e-mails had been erased as well.He figured that maybe Ovan would know what had happened to him,so he tries to follow him in town,but looses him.He later on gets an e-mail from him,it was more of a warning to Haseo whether he should continue or quit the game based on what just happened.Haseo isnt the type to quit,and Ovan should know that,so Haseo goes back into town,he has a run in with a character.This character is named Gasperd,along with his friend,Silabus.They both think Haseo is a noob to the game,but he tellst them he is the Terror of Death.They dont believe him so easily,and think he is role playing the Terror of Death.Haseo goes along with them to a dungeon to help him understand the game more,but Haseo already knows.At the very end of the dungeon,they both realize that he is indeed the Terror of Death,it is Bordeaux's gang that shows up and recognizes Haseo.Just when they are about to get attacked,Haseo starts to feel very strange,that something is growing inside of him and wants to get out.He,along with Gasperd and Silabus were saved by a female player,in which she bluffs that Moon Tree is coming after Bordeaux's gang,they take off.Haseo doesnt feel thankful she came and helped them,she eventually leaves.

They all return to town,Gasperd and Silabus suggest Haseo talk to the Moon Tree guild.They are against PKing,and help others who are victims to it.Haseo claims he doesnt need their help,and also comments how lame they are and are just some charity guild.With all that being said,Atoli had been standing around hearing all of it.She gets really upset with him and yells at his face.Atoli decides to tell Haseo all about Moon Tree the next time they meet.After doing a quest with Gasperd and Silabus,Haseo receives an e-mail from Atoil and the area they will go to.Haseo isnt having a great time and just wants to get this area over with,they finally reach the Beast Statue and get the treasure inside it.Atoli hears a strange noise in the area,she insists they investigate it.Haseo who relunctly does,goes with Atoli,they discover the mark of Tri-Edge on the back of the temple's walls.They are both teleported to another area,which is one of the Lost Grounds,in an underground cavern with a white shinning tree over a lake.There they see a player sitting on the tree,playing with some kind of dark matter,he doesnt even know they are there and takes his leave.Suddenly,while Atoli is not looking,the black matter starts to become even larger and soon takes shape into a type bug.Atoli faints from it,while Haseo checks to see if she is ok.Just when they are about to get attacked by it,Kuhn rushes in and defeats it,by summoning his avatar.Kuhn asks if the two are alright,Atoli had fainted in real life and cant remember what just happened.Haseo asks what he just witnessed with Kuhn's avatar defeating the bug.Kuhn is surprised Haseo could see his avatar,and assumes that if Haseo can see his avatar,then he must be one of the few players that can summon his own.Kuhn says he will inform him more about it later on.

Later on,Haseo receives an invite to Kuhn's guild,Raven.Logging in,he goes to the guild home of Raven,stepping inside Kuhn is there while the female player who saved him from before,is there as well.Pai isnt really happy to see Haseo,and thinks of him as a nuisance.She gets a message from the guild leader to send Haseo in,alone.Haseo goes a passageway inside the @HOME.There he meets Yata,who is an admin to the game,he knows about Tri-Edge along with the case of Shino falling into a coma IRL.Their purpose is to figure out why that has happened,and what exactly is Tri-Edge to begin with.Haseo is furious that they havent done anything to fix the problem and blames them for being at fault.Yata convinces Haseo to join G.U.,but Haseo only agreed so that he can learn to summon his own avatar and nothing else.Haseo returns to Kuhn and Pai,he asks how they summon their avatars.After much talk,Haseo figures out that they dont know either.Kuhn says he will promise to show him at some area,but runs off for an appointment.

While Haseo is stuck doing the job of keeping shop,due to Gasperd and Silabus being unorganized.He encounters a player,who's name is Bo.He is looking for a certain item,but doesnt have the money for it due to his sister spending it allThey both share the same character after all.Haseo decides not to give it to him,if he doesnt have the money.Bo says its a present for his sister,along with the fact they are both twins,so its his birthday too.Haseo decides to give the kid a discount,offering the item he wants to him.Bo is really happy and thanks him running off,he stops and tells Haseo he will pay him back once he saves up the money for it.Haseo also sees Atoli and Kuhn,who is caught flitering with other women,Haseo asks if this is the appointment he meant.Caught in the act,he begs Haseo not to tell Pai about this,and eventually leaves.Later on,Haseo gets an e-mail from Kuhn about an invite to an area where he can try to bring out his avatar.Once Haseo arrives there,Kuhn and Pai are waiting for him,once again Pai doesnt like Haseo around.Exploring the area,Haseo still cant get a grasp of summoning his avatar,he struggles a couple of times,but nothing happens.Kuhn decides to call it a day,he tried his best,and suggests to try it again later on.Once Kuhn is gone,Pai talks to Haseo,saying that she is glad they were both there.She tells him that having an avatar can be considered dangerous,if it were to go out of control,they would have to handle it.Pai also adds on,that they are both alike,and suggests Haseo shouldnt get involved in this anymore.She takes her leave from there,but Haseo wont listen to her suggestion,and will continue to bring out his avatar.Later on,Haseo is stuck being the leader of the guild,Canard.Since Silabus recognizes his leadership skills,Haseo decides to go with the idea.

A new town has recently opened,its called Lumina Cloth[orginally Rumina Cross in the japanese].Haseo heads over there to check it out,which turns out to be an arena.Gasperd and Silabus met him there,they all go in to see the Empreor of the Demon Palace,Endrance.At the beginning of the fight,Haseo notices that Endrance is by himself with the opponent is a group of 3 members,he thinks this is unfair but Silabus says thats how he's always done it in the arena,he never has anyone else with him in the fight.The fight goes on,Endrance is toying with the others,until finally he says that "she" is getting bored with them,in a blinding flash of light,a huge figure appears there in the arena.Haseo is shocked,he looks over to Gasperd asking if he he can see that,but Gasperd doesnt understand what he is getting so excited about.Haseo says to forget it,and realizes that only Epitaph Users can see it,which that means...Endrance is an Epitaph User.The avatar soon takes down the other players in one hit,making Endrance the winner.Haseo is displeased with the result of the fight and charges off,while Silabus and Gasperd follow him.Outside of the arena,Haseo sees Ovan and runs after him.Ovan greets him,Haseo isnt pleased by the greeting,especially with what has happened before,he asks Ovan about Endrance.Ovan says they are both a like in a way,but Haseo lacks what Endrance has.Haseo doesnt follow,but Ovan says only he would know what he meant by that,and logs off.In comes Bo,who is very rude and doesnt like Haseo being here,then Haseo remembers that Bo has a sister,Gasperd and Silabus come running in.Suddenly Endrance comes in as well,in a very acquired manner,he stares at Haseo.Haseo starts asking him questions about the fight,what he is and about the avatar he used.Endrance is interested that he could see "her",but also realizes that Haseo doesnt have the power along with being just another face in the crowd.Haseo gets furious with that being said to him,he challenges Endrance and will defeat him.Endrance is only amused by this,and knows Haseo cant win against him,Endrance takes his leave.

Haseo is determined to get into the arena and take Endrance down,Silabus and Gasperd tell him he needs a group.With Gasperd staying out of it,they need one more member to fill up the group,and it needs to be a cleric.Haseo has one in mind,but really doesnt feel comfortable contacting her.He doesnt really have a choice at this point.After completing the mission,and getting the treasure from the Beast Statue,Haseo finally asks about the Arena to Atoli.She says she isnt into competetive things,not to mention the fighting,but likes to view The World as a place to relax,take it easy and enjoy it while you can.Haseo doesnt like that response and gets upset,he yells at her asking about fighting others,and whats wrong with it for that matter.She has nothing to say,Haseo tells her to leave,and that she is so irritating.So much for the third member.Silabus suggets to post a request on the forums,and the request works.The player asks for Haseo to come to a certain area,but to come alone.So Haseo goes to the area,at the very end...it turns out to be Bordeaux's gang.It seems she was hired by the player on the forum to PK Haseo.Haseo is then saved by Sakaki of Moon Tree,it seems Atoli was informed about this through Bo.It turns out,it was Bo's sister that wanted Bordeaux to take care of Haseo.Sakaki stops Bordeaux from attacking him,due to not only being Atoli's friend,but also because if they were to attack Sakaki's members,it would upset the guild master of their guild,Kestrel.Bordeaux realizes this and backs off,but will have her chance in the arena.Atoli apologizes to Haseo for saying those things earlier,in return,she wants to be in the group for the arena.She asks Haseo if tasting victory for once is wrong,but Haseo thinks it isnt.

Both Silabus and Atoli are very nervous when participating in the arena for the first time,but they manage to pull through.In over joy,Atoli glomps Haseo and is glad they won.Haseo pushs her to get off,she is making him feel uncomfotable.Later on as Haseo progresses though the ranks of the arena,and player named Antares who admires Haseo's bravery for making it this far in the arena but thinks he isnt strong enough.He challenges Haseo to go to a dungeon and test his skils there.Once Haseo has completed it,Antares is there,Haseo's reward is just a lecture from Antares.Haseo returns to the arena going up the ranks more until he finally gets to enter the Demon Palace.Once he registers there,Saku steps in and comments about making it to the Demon Palace,she then adds that Haseo is making people suffer because of him being in the arena.Haseo doesnt follow,the selfish brat runs off.He later finds out that there was a problem with running the Canard shop,Gasperd was being picked on the Kestrel guild,instead of attacking Canard,they have been attacking Canard's customers,driving them away from the bussiness.Kuhn is also there with Haseo and he suggests talking to the leader of Kestrel,Gabi.Haseo and Kuhn end up going to Kestrel's HQ,Haseo meets Bordeaux's gang and it was obviously them making trouble with Canard.Haseo tells Gabi to take responsiblity for his member's actions,Gabi only says that it is the way of The World.Bordeaux mentions the arena and how its a coincedence they are going up against Haseo,and should settle things there.Gabi asks if she we will,and with it being a promise,its a promise she cant back down either.Returning to the Canard @HOME,Gasperd is still depressed over what happened earlier,his vision of The World has been ruined.Silabus decides to stay behind with him,apologizing to Haseo about not entering the arena anymore.

The job extension has been announced from CCorp,Antares e-mails Haseo to come to town so he can talk about it.Antares tells him that his quest is something he really needs,in order to make him stronger.With that said,Haseo takes the quest for a job extension and completes it.Haseo enters the arena and takes on Bordeaux's gang,he ends up having difficultly handling them.He realizes he cant give up and wont disappoint the ones that are watching him,including Ovan.Suddenly,that feeling from before,that something inside of him growing,has finally arrived.Its Skeith,his avatar.He uses his avatar to take down Bordeaux's gang,but is stopped at just an instance,Atoli's yell told him to stop.After Haseo won that match,everyone was happy for him,and Haseo loved the idea of having such an awesome power,he lets out a cynical laugh.It seems Kuhn and Pai are not happy he used his avatar in the fight,and tells him he shouldnt do that.Haseo doesnt care about and will use the power to however he sees fit,and takes his leave.Later on,Yata summons Haseo to the Raven's @HOME.Yata wants Haseo to do an investigation for him,he convinces Haseo to do,after he showed him a footage from a month ago with Tri-Edge Data Draining a player,with this in mind,Haseo agrees to help only because they have more info about Tri-Edge.He goes with Pai to a temple dungeon,there he encounters those black dots rumored to be seen around the game,it is called an AIDA.He summons his avatar Skeith to take them down,Pai gets a message from Yata,she then tells Haseo she will handle the last one in the area.Once they reach the bottom of the dungeon,two other players are there and the AIDA is close by.Pai sees it about to ready to strike them,she yells a warning at them,and knocks one of the players out of the way,but the AIDA ends up getting absorbed into her body.Pai starts to feel a sudden rush of pain,and something going out of control,Haseo asks what is wrong but Pai tells him to run.To get Kuhn over her and help her,that is when her avatar,Tarvos,comes out fully.Pai tells that they have to Data Drain her because of the AIDA inside of her.Haseo decides to DD her,himself.He knows that Kuhn wont make it here in time,so he ends up finishing the job.Afterwards Pai is laying there on the floor,not moving.Haseo goes up to her and holds her close,telling her to wake up while saying her name,instead of calling her "old hag" all the time.Pai wakes up and comments how he called her by her name instead of the usual,Haseo blushes for a moment and says for her not to scare him like that.

Afterwards,Atoli asks for Haseo and Pai to come to Mac Anu,they have been summoned by Moon Tree.They head there,and the two players that Pai and Haseo saved earlier,were actually the leaders for Moon Tree.Kaede and Zelkova,they both thank them for saving them,they offer an item as to show their gratitude.Haseo starts an arguement with Matsu,and he will challenge him in the arena,Haseo is ready to take him on.Pai and him also notice about how Sakaki acts more in charge than their guild leader,Zelkova.Entering the arena,Haseo's team takes on Matsu's,once he wins Matsu admits it was a pretty good fight,and gives Haseo his own weapon,and takes his leave.Haseo doesnt want it,but takes it anyways.Later on Piros the 3rd e-mails Haseo about a Sign seen at Morrigu Barrow Wall.He goes there,Piros suggests to wait for Tri-Edge to show up,but it doesnt look like he will show up at all,so Haseo just leaves him there.Not too long,Antares e-mails Haseo to Lumina Cloth,he wants him to follow Alkaid.He sees her talking to Endrance,and that she will prove to reveal he is a big cheater.Haseo says he shouldnt have to worry about her,since he will finish her off,Endrance doesnt really care for either of them.The battle to fight again Alkaid has arrived,Haseo and his group gave it their all,but Alkaid is just a much better fighter than him.Haseo starts to draw loose control of himself,and his avatar Skeith comes out on his and finishes the job for Haseo.Alkaid realizes that Haseo did the same trick that Endrance used on her,and she swears she will get back at him for doing that.Pai and Kuhn dont like how Haseo used his avatar once again in the arena,this time Kuhn is going to make sure Haseo learns his lesson once and for all.

During the battle arena fight,Haseo is starting to get fustrated with Kuhn,Pai and even Antares that are getting in his way.To the point,he cant take it anymore,and lets Skeith loose.During the avatar battle,something goes wrong and Haseo is rejected from Skeith.So Skeith takes over and attacks Kuhn's avatar,Magus,showing no mercy.Haseo yells for him to stop it,over and over,but the rampaging avatar is not listening to him at all.Haseo finally realizes what Kuhn meant about using avatars,and how it is dangerous to this extent.To be honest,Kuhn wasnt exactly sure how to handle this problem,so he decided to face it this way.Skeith finally finishes him off,and Haseo is in shock as to what has been done.After the avatar battle has finished,Haseo sees that Kuhn is ok.Pai tells them that he was saved by Magus's ability,Proprogation.Even though it was a risk Kuhn took,he knew what he was doing,and Haseo became the winner of this match.Finally,Haseo will now go up against Endrance.During the figh with Endrance,he talks about "her" or "she",but Haseo has no clue who he is talking about.The fight leads to the avatar battle,once more Endrance has talked about "her".How before he used to be alone,until she came along.It doesnt matter anymore as long as she is here with him,but he also fears she will leave him again,and wont let that happen.After defeating Endrance,it is revealed to Haseo that this "she" has been the cat that Endrance has cherished so much,but Ovan is the one who tells Haseo that an AIDA has been taking form of the cat to trick Endrance.Haseo is now the Emporer.They throw a party in celebration for him.After talking to everyone there,he notices that Atoli is missing,he goes to go look for her.

In the same area,Ovan is there and he is talking with Atoli.He tells her Haseo is worried about her,but Atoli doesnt believe that.Since she believes Haseo hates her for how she is.But Ovan doesnt believe that is true,he starts to tell her something else,Haseo steps in and wonders what Ovan is doing here.Ovan feels that just the three of them is just how it used to be back then,when the Twilight Brigade was around.Haseo doesnt want to be reminded of that,Atoli asks about this guild and Shino.Ovan then reveals that Haseo was really close to Shino,that even Atoli's avatar looks just like her.Thats when it hits Atoli,she realizes that Haseo wasnt just screaming at her,but mainly because Atoli reminded him of Shino.She doesnt like this at all,she doesnt like being mistaken or put down due to being someone else,she wants to be recognized as herself.Haseo tries to stop her,but she takes off,leaving the place.Later on, Yata sends Haseo an e-mail to come to Raven immediately.He goes there,and Yata shows footage of Atoli going to Morrigu Barrow Wall,that was the same place Haseo saw the Sign of Tri-Edge.It seems Atoli has disappeared from that area and cant be found anywhere in the game.Haseo along with Kuhn and Pai go off to the area,and they teleported to where Atoli is.They are all inside an area,that is completely covered in white,Atoli is standing infront of a bunch of lockers trying to open it,but fails.Haseo approaches her,but tells her to stay back,she wants to find Tri-Edge by herself.Haseo asks why she wants to do that.It was through Ovan that told her if she found Tri-Edge,Haseo would recognize her.Suddenly,that familiar A-tone sound is heard,something is coming.Tri-Edge finally shows himself,Haseo starts asking him questions,but Tri-Edge doesnt say a word to him.So they take him on,once they finished him off,they think he is done for.But Tri-Edge uses Data Drain to reconstruct himself.They are all shocked as to what just happened,the ground below them breaks and they all fall.Tri-Edge reveals his"Azure Flame God" form,they assume its an avatar but cant be sure at the moment.Haseo uses Skeith to take him out,and once he does,its finally over.Tri-Edge is starting to fall apart,his character crumbling to pieces.Haseo asks for him to tell him how to free the Unreturners.But its too late for Tri-Edge,and he is gone.He is disappointed,they all realized that all of this,was for nothing in the end.The lockers start to react,and all the doors are opened.Atoli is suddenly drawn to it,but Haseo tells her to stop,he knows there is something dangerous there.But its too late,Atoli is attacked by the AIDA lurking inside the lockers,she screams in pain as the AIDA attacks and finally leaves.Atoli lies there unconscious,Haseo and the others couldnt do anything to save her.
